We love Livingston’s great school system, the wonderful feeling of a warm town environment, the well coordinated town activities, its proximity to NYC and of course, the convenience to all types of shopping.
When we bought the property we were drawn to the large lot, the beautiful neighborhood, its proximity to the Collins Elementary School, Livingston High School and the Livingston town pool. We also loved that Livingston offers lots of options for places of worship.
Livingston is good for us because it allowed our whole family to take advantage of the amazing resources available. We raised 6 kids here and they all went through the Livingston school system successfully and graduated from colleges.
A few other things we can mention about our home is that commuting is easy. You can walk to Livingston Avenue by cutting through Town Hall and jump on a bus to NYC. Everything is easy to get to. Livingston is close to NYC, close to the beach, to Philadelphia, to the Poconos…or skiing. The central location makes it just a great spot.
There are so many cultural activities brought into town to enjoy. We plan on staying in Livingston, just downsizing now that the kids are gone. We love the town so much. There are great hospitals like Highpoint and doctors of all types available which is tremendously important.
The Livingston area offers great shopping and entertainment too! It’s just a short trip to Long Beach Island, the Jersey Shore, Short Hills Mall, Bridgewater Mall and NYC.
People in Livingston are long-term residents, people put down roots here. They buy for the duration. Many residents are original owners. They raise their families here. You are buying into a neighborhood with some truly wonderful people who will say hello and get know you and who watch out for one another.
Some of our hobbies are gardening and walking, going to shows in NYC, taking advantage of the arts and free programs offered by the recreation department in Livingston.
Our utility costs are around $300 per month for electric and gas.
