What the Seller Says
When we bought the property we were drawn to the fact that Eagle Ridge has more open common space than other Essex County condominium communities. The floor plan of the Adams unit gave us the interior space we wanted. We are across the street from the clubhouse and pools and walking distance to the gatehouse and the New York commuter bus.
We especially liked the orientation of the townhome with respect to the sunlight. The kitchen gets the morning sunlight and the family room the afternoon sun. The master bedroom does not get morning sun so my husband enjoyed sleeping late. The other bedrooms are flooded with morning sun so I used one for my office.
We were also drawn to the location. We are just across the street from Essex Green Mall, 1/4 mile from Whole Foods and on an entrance to I 280. The Eagle Ridge location of our townhome offers easy access to New York, Garden State Pkwy and I 80.
The West Orange area is good for recreation. West Orange has great golf courses. The Turtle Back Zoo complex has been expanded and the Eagle Rock and South Mountain Reservations offer fantastic hiking.
Our townhome is also close to all medical facilities. Plus we are a short trip to Montclair, Livingston, Millburn and all of the other great towns in the area… so shopping and restaurants abound.
We have many lovely neighbors. Eagle Ridge is home to all age groups. My husband loved to watch the children going to the playground.
I love classical music, swimming and bike riding. Swimming is available all year round at the Eagle Ridge Clubhouse pools. Bike riding on the streets of Eagle Ridge is easy and safe. NJPAC is a short distance on I 280. I drive out of my garage at 2:30 on Sunday afternoon and I am in my seat for NJ Symphony by 2:50. NJPAC offers an extraordinary range of performances.
Our neighborhood is great on the 4th of July. We can watch the North Jersey and New York fireworks from the common area overlooking the NYC skyline.
As far as utility cost, we pay about $2800 per year for PSEG and for Verizon Fios, about $1900 a year.
